Blank .223 ammo

Just remember that not all blanks are created equal. Your standard US or CDN surplus military blanks are the weakest and will probably have underwhelming results but that all depends on the size of your course.
Blanks made by S&B are somewhat hotter.
If your lucky enough to find any .223 blanks made by Barnaul (though doubtful because I think I bought all that came into the country)you will notice that they are much hotter and your golf ball really flies.
Use caution with .223 grenade launching blanks or film industry blanks, in all likelihood you will probably never find your ball again.

I'd be really careful with БПЗ (Barnaul) blanks. I saw topic about it in the summer but lost the link after my HDD went. Thread got buried, still trying to find it to follow up. БПЗ and LVE (Novosibirsk) blanks damaged 2 MG08's, bunch of SVT's, AVT's and even Mosins at blank fire WW2 event that took place back in the old country this summer. Blanks were distributed by event organizers and when people started firing, receivers and internals started going. One rifle even had it's rear site fly off, picture is attached below. All ammo in question was 7.62x54R (MGs were converted to 54R) but still... This was not faulty BFFs for sure. People opened cartridges and found insane amount of gunpowder inside. Atlantic Wall red tip blanks are considered best option among reenactors in North America. Red tips are more expensive then some lower end, short Atlantic Wall products but red tips are full length rounds, so semi autos cycle just fine and they are loud as hell:) AW doesn't ship across the border so people usually order them before they drive over for whatever reason and bring ammo back with them.
