Are the blank fireing guns/pistols legal or ilegal in Canada? If they are legal wich place has them for good price.I am interesting in blank firing replicas mostly of ww2 pistols for display purpose over my fireplace

It prevents retarded post-whores from posting this:

:)

And leaving the discussion. Helps to get the post count up, but that's all.

Also, blank firing pistols are NOT illegal. Starter pistols aren't illegal, nor or the ones you can use for training dogs.

If you're getting into realistic looking 'replicas', I think you're into a different story. You can get Dewats (deactivated war tropies) or other firearms deactivated, but to qualify it can't be capable of ANY firing, blanks or otherwise, I believe.

If it resembles an ACTUAL firearm "with near precision", then it's prohibited as a replica, regardless of whether it's an airsoft or only fires blanks; if you take the SAME THING, and have it fire a projectile which can cause serious bodily injury or death (eg. a .177 pellet at 300 fps), it magically becomes a "deemed non-firearm", and is not only NOT prohibited, you don't even need a PAL to buy it.

Yeah it's funny how a replica that looks exactly like a real gun is illegal if it doesn't fire a projectile. But a pellet gun that looks exactly like a real gun isn't and you can buy it in any store because it fires a projecticle. That's logic for you. I've got a walther CP88 airgun and you can't tell the difference between it and a real one unless you know what you're looking for, ie. it says CP88 instead of P88 and says .177 calibre.

lots of municipalities are banning the sale of pellet guns within them though now since they are being used a lot in crimes these days

Once again,
Thankyou liberals. I'm sure if you could buy black airsoft guns criminals would rather use them than pellet guns because they'd be cheaper (the springers). Even if you are robbing stores with an airsoft gun, no one is going to get hurt because of one (exept for the criminal if the police happen to be there).

I don't know about you guys but I'd hurt someone if they tried to hold me up with an airsoft gun.And don't say I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.I work with the things every day. They are actually pretty easy to tell from the real thing.

Yes.
I'm just saying that, come the time he is holding up a gun, it would be better if it were a little toy one than one that could actually hurt someone.
