Blaze orange in Ontario and backpacks

I bought a blaze orange one shoulder pack. It holds everything I need. I then wear a blaze orange shotgunner's vest. All over my cold weather camo. Looks silly but then I won't get a ticket.

In Man. the upland bird hunters are required to wear blaze if hunting birds during big game season. And are encouraged to wear same when they are hunting. After all there are many other shooters out there besides yourself.

I have the blaze orange fuzzy jacket and matching backpack. I look like a large orange tenis ball and STILL had a moron shoot at a deer between me and him near Hudson Bay...he drives an early '80s black and white ford 1/2 ton. When I saw him lining the dear up, I was doing jumping jacks to get his attention and he STILL shot.
Even blaze orange doesn't trump ####ing stoopid.

why not get one of these

read the reviews on this one, its listed as being huge where 85L packs are lost in it... no way to adjust for size either.

Is there any advantage to wearing full camo for birds other than turkeys, in the times when its legal to do so?

Geese absolutely will flip out if you are wearing blaze or they see skin. Ducks are less picky about skin and hair, but I wouldn't wear blaze and expect to get anything but dumb coots down.

I'd be spending a few minutes with a needle and thread and throwing a hem or a zipper in that thing to make her fit.

( Be sure to use blaze thread!! ).

Back when the orange regs first came out, the CO's, or at least ours, had a colour bar. The orange had to fall within the range of colour on the bar.
Now, it's generally accepted that most any commercially offered fluorescent orange for hunting, is legal.
They still do not accept those mesh vests with the big yellow X though.
