since they are made of aluminum thats coated in brass im going to assume that they cannot be reloaded?

are my assumptions right? as i bought 1000 rounds of 45 auto from blazerbrass and i wouldn't mind selling or trading the casings

well, they are the brass colour and thats what reloaders.ca said and so did combatmasters.com

but i think they were mistaken as i cut one in half and it;s brass?

Blazer has two kinds of cases as far as I know, aluminum and brass. Never heard of brass coated aluminum. Not even sure it possible to coat aluminum with brass and I'm at a loss why it would be done even if it was possible?

The blazer brass (.40)I have on the shelf has been reloaded several times, no issues.
 
x2 for what Joe states. The Blazer Brass packaged casing are just fine(gold/black box) the aluminum stuff is in the black/silver/red box and should not be reloaded. Blazers are often just referred to as brass even when they are aluminum so I can see BDX making the mistake if all he was advised was that its Blazer brass..Blazer is synonomous with aluminum as the actual brass casings havnt been out all that long in comparison.

Back in high school, we used to drive across the border and buy handgun ammo because it was impossible to find in our area.. The cheapest 9mm they had was blaser aluminum cased lead bullet ammo. I don't remember any more than that. We didn't care, it went boom. I think it was 6 or 7 dollars a box and we though we had lots if we had 2 boxes..

Boy times have changed. Now it costs me a bit more a box but I have to make it myself.

Other issue is the brass bsand has looks like its small pistol primer there is a smaller market for small pistol 45acp unless you have a lot of it.

Depends. To the casual plinker it might be. The the avid competitor, it might be nothing. 1000 is a common quantity for 45 brass in the EE if that's what you are wondering.:)

Same price, either way...... If I was buying it, it would be run through my progressive press. There would be no advantage to having it deprimed and re-sized. I would hazard a guess that 99% of the guys out there who would buy it are of the same opinion.

You should be able to get $100 + shipping for your brass as it is right now.

If you still have the boxes, maybe a bit more (if you can find the right guy), but I doubt it. You should be able to sell it locally, just put up a sign at your range. Someone will be in touch eventually.......
 
100-120 depending how fast you want to sell it. No-one is going to pay more for cleaned or deprimed, We'll want to resize them ourselves anyway, so don't bother putting more hassle into than you need to.
 
"...Blazer has two kinds of cases..." Yep. CCI has been making reloadable brass cases for their 'Blazer' brand for years now.
"...1000 brass alot?..." Depends on your POV. Buddy of mine fired 2500 rounds a week for several months practicing for Second Chance, long ago. No Dillon presses in those days either.
You should be reloading them for yourself. Shooting factory all the time gets expensive in a hurry.
