Bit of a rant here. Na, what am I talking about. I'M PISSED !!!. I'm not sure if the THEIF is on CGN or not but if you are I hope you really enjoy the ground blind and the trail camera that you stole from me in the Hockley Valley area. Oh, thanks for stealing the security box, lock and locking cable also. I would love to catch one of these F#$%!*N chicken ass fools in the act one day as it would get very interesting I can tell you that. Nuthin like breaking your balls at work to buy some hard earned toys to have some A$$&#@E pinch them off you cause there to deadbeatish to go work hard and buy them themselves. I hope you choke on them !!

Frick, that blows... Always in the back of my mind, I reassure myself that no one else is silly enough to stumble this far back in the swamp tangle but that only gets me going about the quad I've ditched long out of sight. Absolutely sucks that one has to think like that! I've discovered a few things in the bush over the years, can't fathom the level of dirtbag that would say "hey, lets knick this from this poor sob"
Can only put some faith in karma or catch the bastards in the act...

D.K.

I found a self climber on a tree a few years ago, the next year I met a fella there who told me about his climber being stolen. I took him right to it though the squirrels had their way with the seat and padding it was still in the same spot.. He was pretty sure someone moved it.

Of course he would swear that someone moved it...he wouldnt want his ego to get bruised now would he?

As for the Op, why even bring up that it might be a CGN member that would steal from you do you have proof, are we all to be considered thieves now because we hunt or travel the same land as you?

I can and do understand the emotions of stuff being stolen from oneself, but to just about point a finger at one of us is pretty lame.

That really sucks.. Crown land or private? Sounds like they came prepared with bolt cutters or something similar if they got the cable lock off. Or did they chop down the tree?

They didn't cut the tree so I would think they must have seen it and came back with tools, worst part about this is that it was on private property that has not been hunted in 30 years and when I finally get a chance and good weather to go and spend an afternoon towards the end of our season, this is what I find. I tell ya, it makes your blood boil. God help them if we ever meet !

I usually burn my phone number into my trail cams with a soldering iron. I was going to spray paint my name on the ground blind but didn't get around to it this year.

We had our moose camp robbed twenty years ago... we were scouting a new unit and had set-up a camp on a lake off an old logging road... we hunt by water, and while we were out in the canoes one morning, some A-hole cleaned out our camp... it ended our hunt... we had no gear or food left. We went home with a bull though, as I had shot one while they were robbing us... bitter sweet moose meat.

I would hope that you have thought this through, because i would hate to see you lose your firearm's and license if you do meet up with them. I agree with the frustration of having stuff stolen but whats worse losing once or losing twice.

Sorry for your loss some people just suck.

this!

This is always my fear with my stands and my cameras, but its a risk I take where I hunt and cant be there all the time to watch my gear. I'd be just as pissed if not more, and I would want to strip some of the bark off a tree with the thief's face, but thats just me.

Them PETA punks and Greenpeace pigs have done stuff like this before some of one group or another were putting sugar in the tanks of hunts up by a bud of mine's camp... PETA were using those PETA-copters to scare deer.

I've had bastards, cut my fences, set up and hunt without permission, leaving a wake of filth. Do you think I left their crap alone? Even had two pieces of crap come up to me pointing loaded shotguns telling me to get the hell out. They didn't win either. Yes, here in Ontario.

Welcome to the club. Initiation sucks, though. Lost my double ladder stand and camera three years ago. They even cut the tree down so I wouldn't find the location as easily. Now, I'm too scared to leave a $400 stand and a $200 camera out, even when it's further back than some like to go. I now hunt with a ground blind that goes in and out with me.

You always take a chance when leaving your stands or camera. I can find four or five cameras and ten stands if I was the thieving type. #### happens there are low life's everywhere.
