So this company's product is trash. Here's why:

Their over priced top rail section for the x95 handguard can't hold zero for a laser aiming unit. It's steel screws threaded into aluminum. What could go wrong?

A couple drops on the ground to test zero of said rail section. It had already failed to hold zero even before this. But it gets better.

"Professional grade". Absolutely not.

Shameful for the price they charge.

They don't have a review section on their website. It's become clear why that is.qZj4r6i.jpeg

I don't know why they mag pouch photo is on here. I didn't attach it, and cgn doesn't have a remove option for it.

You dropped a gun on the ground a few times to test if it holds zero, even though you already knew it didn't, and now you're upset you bent something? I am reading that correctly?

I moved it to the top rail of the rifle after and zero'd it. Then assessed to see if it held zero there.

Yes the handguard bent. It's advertised as "Professional grade". A drop test from waist height is well within expectations of maintaining function for "Professional grade".

Just wanted to make sure we're on the same page.

"Professional Grade" is a meaningless term. Sounds like something you'd see in BCL marketing. Sucks you paid good money for such a mediocre product though. Sucks even more that so many Canadian companies seem to be incapable of making good products.

It is a meaningless term for sure. But they market their stuff like it's ready for operational military use. Having done that several times real time. I can attest that their product does not come close to making the grade to that level of function.

I believe they are typical of the Canadian firearms industry. Sub par products at high prices. I wanted to get the word out on them, so others know. More smoke and mirror BS.

Get in comms with them, this is unquestionably not ok if the product has been put through the things you said it has.

To give some perspective I drove my Dodge Ram 1500 over my WK180 Gen 1 with 15´handguard & weapon light at 30kph on form soil. The weaponlight was kaput and the gun shot 1m to the right at 100m, I altered the zero on the scope and everything was back to normal with the Aluminum handguard having had no issues.

The force required to bend Aluminum is not small, so I can only presume:

1. The Aluminum this handguard has been made with was mixed with butter
2. The force exerted was greater than a few drops

Get a response in writing from the retailer then share it here, it´s possible they´ve been shafted too and it´s worth checking that before saying they´re bad.

I am not sure what company you are complaining about - Blk Lbl what is that? Maybe I'm missing something , but if you have an issue, I'd be interested in seeing it.

"Professional grade" stuff will break if you abuse it, I know, I've broken a few "Professional grade" items, and I wasn't trying.

Want to torture test your gear, have at it, just don't expect much sympathy when your gear breaks from smashing it on the ground on purpose.

Just saying...

So I have a couple of questions....

1. Did you buy this from BLK-LBL directly? Or somewhere else?

2. Did you contact BLK LBL?

3. What laser aiming module are you using?

Not a shill, just a different experience than yours that I thought I'd share.

I have a 9mm X95 with their long handguard no bipod. A couple months ago I was shooting the 9mm in an indoor range switching between holstered pistol and slung rifle. I have a PEQ15 mounted to the top rail of the handguard. I ran through a mag on the rifle and was switching to my sidearm, so I dropped the rifle to my side, and unfortunately the rifle sling QD released itself (or I never inserted it properly, not sure) and the rifle fell to the ground. It fell right on the handguard and barrel onto a concrete floor. My point of aim and impact using the laser did not shift after the fall. The Meprolight M21 that I have mounted did shift POI by about six inches at 50m after the fall.

Send them an email, they'll probably stand by their product and offer to repair it for you, but I'm sure it will be at a cost. I don't think they should repair your gear for free that you specifically went out to see if you could damage.

BTW, you know that Aimpoint micro optics are screwed in to their mounts by steel screws into threaded aluminum, right? They're top tier when it comes to accuracy and durability. The only issue I could see is galvanic corrosion seizing the screws, but not an issue with accuracy/repeatability.

Lol, Black Lbl is not rated for military use. It is geared for US civilian owners of Tavors that want an M-Lok handguard. All of the IDF Tavors in military/police service have the factory quad rail handguard not Black Lbl for a reason.

This is my biggest problem with making products for consumers, especially firearms related. Consumers, especially firearms consumers, are more often than not legally retarded.
