Blowback Pistols?

I don't see a SIG Mosquito listed on their website. They have the .22 version of the P226, which not the same thing as a Mosquito and has a barrel length over 105mm in its standard configuration.

So how come SFRC sells a SIG mosquito without the compensator?

it's not a compensator on the mosquito. It just sits on the end of the end of the bbl with the front sight post on it in order to increase the sight radius and in theory make it more accurate.

also SFRC is not selling sig mosquitos. they are selling sig 226R (aka sig classic). It is the exact same frame a on the 226, but the slide and bbl is .22lr. it doesn't even use mosquito mags. It uses a mag with teh same dimentions as a 9mm mag. therefore the magwell is the same size, so you can swap the slide and bbl with a 9mm one and throw a 9mm mag in and have a 9mm.

You know, at first I thought the Beretta was kinda ugly, but I've got to admit, it's growing on me.

Also, kinda pisses me off that the M&P22 Barrel comes up exactly One Millimeter Short!!! dammit.

This one looks kinda nice though!

...but I guess we're getting into Mark III territory now...

Hey, what's the difference between a Mark III and a 22/45?

I had a sig mosquito and I'll tell you right now, DON'T DO IT!! What an awful piece of garbage FTF or FTE at least 4 out of ten rounds! Even with the best recommended ammo it would still get 2 or three. Sent it in , came back the same , changed the spring , polished the feed ramp, very little improvement. These guns have a BAAAD reputation, my 226 on the other hand is flawless. JM$.02.

Have the mosquito but don't recommend it for the price, there is nothing wrong with mine and it functions fine but I don't use us much since I got the gsg 1911. The gsg is cheaper, more solidly built and has a much nicer trigger. If you have to get the mosquito, then might as well spend $100 more and get the sig 22lr classic which you can later upgrade to centerfire, wish I did that.

Yes, yes it does. My Model 41 and my K-22 fill my .22 pistol needs nicely:

As for your question on the Rugers, the 22/45 version of the Mk. III has a polymer grip frame with a grip angle more like a 1911 compared with the sharply-raked grip found on metal-framed Rugers.
