Blown Primer Help

YES.YES.YES.!!!!! this happened to me yesterday!!! tell tale smoke coming from the bolt when I fired it....extracted the round,and bingo,exactly what you described.pin hole in top of primer..blow torched my bolt..pisses me off actually.peice of #### primers im thinking.should of stuck to my good old federal 215s......this is a serious problem I belive and they should recall those primers.alot of people are gonna ruin theyre rifles with these things..

no its not......it is the thin primer brass wall...PEROID!!!! You cant tell me loading my 30-06 with minimum-medium load from hodgsons data can cause overpressure..this is for the expert reloader that said its overpressure..

its not escaping gasses from the base of the primer.look at one closely.its a ####in torch out of the top edge of the primer.piss all to do with primer seal in this case.PERIOD
 
Fired 30 rounds today with a different lot number of win LR primers so far so good. I do have cci ones on order. I am gonna get in contact with Winchester and ship these back to get my money back to help towards purchasing more primers. Not a bad idea for you to look into this option as well.
 
The only primers that ever gave me problems were Federal primers, I use all kinds of primers depending on availability or performance and yes I still use Federal primers but the primers I use the most are Winchester, never any problems.
