Not that good . Should have bought a Sig !
Even if you weren't shooting reloads they will say you were . And if you were let it be a lesson to pay attention when reloading
Sorry for your loss . There seem to be a lot of newbies blowing up guns lately

If you were shooting reloads or lead bullets then that one is your own fault.
I hear about people blowing up there Glock .40's quite often and I have never come across a story that did not involve some user error.
I hope that you are not injured by this accident and give Glock a call. Im sure they will ask you to supply pictures of the gun so take some ASAP and of any injuries you may have received from this.
If they ask, you were shooting "factory ammunition" and have a lot number handy if you can.
Best of luck!

Let's not encourage fraud in a public forum. We don't know the facts and should let the story come out the way it happened in order to prevent it happening again if possible.

There's been no info from the original poster with details as to what really happened.

But, if it was a reloaded cartridge and as the result of something like a double charge of something really fast burning like ole Bullseye, I hate to rain on your parade but you can blow up a Sig just as easily... ;)

Never said you couldn't . But there have been documented cases of glocks blowing up with factory ammo

We shouldn't crucify the guy either, even if it was a reloading mistake. This event, which is very unfortunate, easily serves as a reminder to us all about the requirements of reloading and shooting.

Perhaps for now, we should just hope the shooter is ok.

Been shooting the same Glock 22 since early 1995. Easily got > 30,000 rounds thru it now. Including lots of reloads with evil lead bullets, fresh factory ball ammo and the hi-test hollowpoints like Federal Hydrashoks, Winchester talons and Speer gold-dots. Guess I should imminently expect a ka-boom, then....

Yes but we seem to be reminded every month or so !
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink
Since the shooter was the original poster I would think he would have mentioned any injuries other than the ones to his pride .
