I e-mailed Hodgden recently regarding the type of loads I could put through my BLR 450 Marlin. They said I was limited to the 43,500 limit that was for the cartridge in lever action. My question is, if the rifle can shoot 300 wm, 325 wsm etc that load up to the 50,00 level why can I not use the data in the manuals for the Ruger #1 etc that will load to that level as well. I understand that sometimes the case will be too full but if it will accomodate the powder, why not. BTW I have been reloading for 25 years and know what I am doing, just a technical question.

Well, if you're an experienced reloader, why not work up a load slowly? The BLR is probably the strongest lever gun out there.
