Can you load a single round through the ejection port like a push feed, or do you have to load via the magazine?

x2. with mine, you don't even have to really watch where you put it. Just throw er in there and the bolt grabs it and chambers it when you close er up :)

I don't think they were really designed to be field stripped....I just took a quick look around, and i couldn't find anything on stripping/disassembling them. I've never had mine apart, and i probably won't try unless something goes terribly wrong. Even still, i'll probably be sticking parts to a piece of tape and labelling them whilst studing an exploded diagram VERY caefully.

And with the splined pins, you do not want to take it apart any more often than absolutely necessary. And you don't want to drive these pins out the wrong way.
These rifles are were not designed with routine disassembly for cleaning and maintenance in mind. They have some really unfortunate design features from the standpoint of durability under conditions of rugged use.

Don't take it apart, just don't. I've done a few over the years to refinish them. Putting the rack and pinion gears back together so that the bolt closes properly is a royal pain. To clean the gun take a spray can of automotive carb cleaner and hose the crap out of it. Re lube SPARINGLY.
