I think browning missed out by not making a BLR in 338 wm. That would show the 1895 crowd the meaning of guide gun

Pretty close to .338 WM ballistics.

Or BLR .450 Marlin alternative to 1895 can load my .450M BLR with wide variety of bullet weights 250gr to 500gr including spitzers all at higher muzzle speeds than 1895.

Yeah, I have the donor rifle and I like the idea too. I think the stainless takedown BLR is a great hunting rifle and checks a lot of boxes. I don't have any stainless 9.3x62 rifles.

Whatever happened to the Remington pump 9.3x62 project?

Are these 95 rebarrels inspired by an old rifleshooter article called something like “ the last Alaskan sourdough”? About a guide with a bunch of win 95s in hawk wildcats 375 hawke etc

I can’t find it now but I used to read it a looot when I was in my early 20s and dream about 1895s and northern living

I’m kind of shocked that they didn’t come out with a 7.62x54r carbine model to appeal to the massive popularity of Battlefield 1 (a World War I video game all the youths were playing 5-6 years ago for you old fellas). Tacticool companies definitely do similar things. Maybe too expensive

That article, boddington on the 405 ruger no 1 and cape buffalo and Phil Shoemaker on “old ugly” and bullet testing on beached whales will always have a special place in my heart. I’ve had a ruger no 1, but no 1895 or 458 wm. Yet…
