Blr308 or Blr300wsm

Thinking of updating my blr308 and going to a 300wsm in the same rifle,more so to help out my nephew with his first rifle. Anyone have one or experience with the 300wsm cart rage?

Not the sm, but had a blr in 300 winmag. It was as you'd expect from a blr, as you already know. My favorite's may be my 450 and 30-06, but I have yet to meet a blr I didn't like........a lot!

Good idea to help out the nephew. I've done the same thing twice, went from a 270 to 300win mag last time. sorry no experience with the 300wsm.
Are you sure you're not just using it as an excuse to buy a new gun? I know I did.

i have/had a 300 wsm Remington Model 700 that I really like. It killed a few moose in the short time I've had it. It compares pretty closely to the 300 win mag in a more compact package. A lot more thump than the .308 for sure. I passed it on to my son last year to give an excuse to buy another. Like the OP, I have a BLR 308 that I really like and a 300 wsm in the same gun looks awful tempting...!
