Hello all, i have a rifle on route that i just purchased and it has a lot of bluing loss. It's not a collector but rather, a hunting rifle. Just wondering what my best option would be for replacing the bluing?I know people have had good results with blu wonder cold blu but i know of no feedback on armacoat. Which is better in terms of ease of application and prep, durability and cost? I know hot tanking is pricey so that's why i'm looking at these options. Who sellls armacoat or duracoat in Canada btw? Thanks

I have tried and use Blu Wonder -- great results -- you hace to follow instructions very carefully -- best blue I've come across in 30 years of playing with guns.

I have never used the kit, but have sprayed quite a few rifles with a spray gun using arma coat. I have been really happy with the ones that I have done.

I reblued a rem 788 with blue wonder that my dads dad bought him when he was a kid. It could have passed for next to new witch I found pretty good seeing how the rifles had a pretty tough life. Only thing I wasn't impressed about is a couple spots on the barrel rubbed off well in the truck over hunting season but considering how easy it is to use I'll just touch it up. Biggest thing is prep. People that say it didn't turn out nice got lazy on the most important step.

I haven't used arma coat but all I hear is good things so it depends on what color of Finnish your looking for.
