Hey Fellow Gunnutz,
I want to thank everyone for sharing in this post.
I am having a hoot reading the replies.
It's nice to hear that you think the setup is nice
When I bought this house,I made sure it had a high dry basement.
As for a lot of bucks being spent on the reloading room,it's not true.
The four SDB's were bought used.
Three Rockchuckers used.
Mec Reloader used.
Beam scale for rifle and shotgun..used.
Case trimmers...used.
Etc....etc...
There are some real good deals to be found on excellent condition, used gear.
Yes some of the stuff is new,but remember I am sharing this room with Anzacman,a good friend and a fellow CanadianGunut.
That means we both split the costs.
We did all the labor.
Anzacman is married,so no way he could have had this setup at home....lol
Also remember, that I may be old enough to be your grandfather.
Your time will come too.
Don,t be jealous.Where there's a will there's a way.
Anzacman and I work for a design firm.Advertising for fancy homes and condos.
It's kind of like a running joke with us.
Design a reload room that could be on the glossy front page of Reloaders Architectual Digest.
Sometimes we laugh hilariously when I ask him if we have the correct
Feng Shui for the room.
We are having a ball using and building this room.
There's still more to be done.
Some more benchwork on a wall not seen in the pic.
More drywall around the powder storage area
More shelving,another Rockchucker to mount.
There is a stereo set up to blast tunes while loading.
The room is clean and organized because two guys use it.
To me,clean and organized means safe reloading..definitely no mixups.
It's like the Odd Couple goes reloading.
I'm like Felix and Anzacman is like Oscar.
Sometimes Anzacman will look around and say"Man,this place is too neat."
Anyways, you can do it,and there's good deals on used gear out there.
The whole point is to start the reloading journey.
Start by building one good solid little bench, that you can be proud of.
As money permits, start building your setup.
The main point is that you're loading ammo that is totally custom tailored to your needs and wants.
It's a beautiful thing.
