i've tried to buy a couple blue guns, and since im not law inforcement i cant buy them. not sure what the legalities are for blue guns.

so im wondering with all the people on here that have cnc machines is it possible to whip up some blue guns, in what ever... wood, plastic, rubber, is it a possibiblity?.

and would there be any interest?.

Do you mean the blue plastic replicas? They won't sell em to you if your not LEO?! What, are they afraid of that blue plastic getting into criminal hands?

Anyways, a different company makes "redguns" which where out before blue guns anyways, and they sell to anyone. I have one of their Hi Power's, good training aid. Or just purchase a training barrel replacement from bladetech, and use the original gun you want to train with

You could take a mold impression of your gun of choice and then make a plastic casting resin copy of it. The casting resin can be dyed to a suitable colour.

There's a number of non marking pour in place rubber compounds available for doing just this sort of thing so you don't need to resort to plaster of paris or similar. But none of the stuff is cheap. The silicone rubber to make the mold will run something like $50. The casting resin to produce each copy from there about $25. The airsoft option and some blue paint is staring to sound pretty good right now I suspect.

The blue gun the op refers to is a simunition gun I believe. They are not available to the public. Heaven forbid a mere mortal possesed a NON-LEATHAL replica of weapon. Simunition is kind of cool you can marking colored rounds or just ones that hurt A little when you get shot.

ahhh i see. Simunitions i am aware of. But they hurt more then a little. Make a paintball seem like a tickle. Motivates you not to get shot.

I bought a Blue gun off of Ebay a couple of years back, made by Ring's. It was a mould of an Argentinian Hi-Power that I used for dry training for CFSAC and to demonstrate skills I learned there when I returned to my unit. Plus, it was handy to loan out for training scenarios at my unit as well. I never had to declare that I was a member of the CF at any time. It came from the US with no problems.

I believe Dave's surplus sells them.. they certainly have more than a few kicking around their store. Here's the address of the manufacturer: http:// www .blueguns .com/

I know there are others out there - as others have said, they do come in different colours.
