Blued Model of 1911 US Army

I have a Colt model of 1911 US Army with a very low 200 000 serial number. It appears to be either factory blued and taken care of or re-blued a long time ago and taken care of. It has no rust or pitting and the stampings are very. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Colt factory blued a few hundred thousand 1911s around 1917. Does anyone know what serial number range that run of blued Colts might be? Thanks CH
 
Yes some of the ist one where factory blue, a expert can tell if is a reblue job or not , that will be the $1000+/- question.
Can you post a high def picture?,If it was good , I could maybe tell you
 
Tagged. Should be able to tell from the quality photos. If the markings are faint, buffed, no longer raised at all it's likely refinished. If sharp and clear it could be original

I don't know WWI 1911's. Here is a near mint condition 1911, original finish, in similar serial number range to compare to yours:

The gun in the picture is blued. All military 1911s were manufactured with a blued finish, as were pre-war 1911A1s made prior to mid-1941. Original bluing should have a brushed appearance (like the picture). If it is a highly polished "mirror" finish, it is not original.

It is nice , but clearly it has been reblued, you can see it when you look at the serial number and the sharp edges are rounded off.
 
Besides the rounded off edges from refinishing, the grips are correct for a much newer commercial gun; I think they were first used on Series 70 guns.
