blued receiver to stainless steel look

hey does anybody have any idea how to give a blued over under receiver a stainless steel look? can i sand down the blue?

cerakote, armorcoat and like products have a stainless looking colour. coating with one of those products will give you the look you want.

If you remove the bluing it will rust with no protection.

You want matte or polished? If you want polished, it's real easy to polish the bluing off with a dremel and polishing felts with some metal polish. Then wax it with a carnuaba based wax once a year. Works fantastic and looks exactly like chrome.

Was pretty easy with a dremel, felt polishing tips and some metal polish from Canadian Tire. Took longer to disassemble and reassemble than it did to actually polish it. And 2 years later still no rust.
