BNP what do I have

I just bought this rifle today off a oldder gent.
leaning in a corner in his basment ,good an dusty but not rusty.
Markings are BNP with crown on top, 303 2.222"
18.5 tonsper other marks not shure.
RE over serial # 00***
Sights are ladder with slider with peep hole, numbers 1 to 16.
He told me WW2 Canadian military
Is this a 303 enfield.

I suspect that you have a P-14 rifle. Made 1915-1917. Used during WW2 as well. Does the bolt handle have a rather dogleg shape to it? Safety is a lever jst behind the bolt handle?

"...2.222" 18.5 tons per..." That'd be the length of a .303 round and the pressure in tons per square inch. The later will either be a wee box with a ", or just the 'per SQ ".
