Yeah, the whole "designed for" qualifier can get confusing sometimes. I wondered the same thing when I saw this tonight.

I guess it's like the LAR15 pistol magazine holds 10 .223/5.56 rounds but just happens to fit into an AR style rifle.

So I wonder if there was some sort of magwell conversion kit for this to make it Glock compatible, would it be permissible to use the G17 mags on it? Or is it because the firearm is classified as a rifle and not a pistol caliber carbine that it can legally only use pinned-to-five mags?

Still haven't answered my original question. Do you get the original restricted length barrel as well?

I would like to have the option of going back to the restricted length if I choose and not have to hunt down a new barrel.

NO considering it was not a custom gunsmith job nut straight from BT Ssuiss factory
Same lower. The GHM9-G lower will pop right onto an APC9.

And NO it won't, APC lowers are permanently affixed with the front pin so it won't pop right in.

You need a special B&T tool to dislodge the barrel. Won't be able to find one here even if you find the R barrel.

This confirmed all the answers, if your looking straight from factory NR buy this, if you want options and multi barrel lengths and Glock options but the GHM9-G and be happy with the options it brings.
