Another Advantage?
What advantages do glock shooters already get?
....
I'm not dumping on Glock here, I just think that the glock guys can use a few advantages to compete with the other guys...
I am not saying that Glock's are the most competitive Production guns out there. Far from it in fact, although for most shooters they are fine.
When I refer to "another advantage" I probably should have said "another concession." It has been my personal feeling that because of the popularity of Glock's amongst competitors and the IPSC Executive that Glocks have got way more concessions in terms of allowable mods than they should.
On a Glock you can get a lighter trigger, extended slide release, extended mag release and basically any sight configuration. When the XD was banned the Glock was not, because the Glock apparently was less SA than the XD was.
On the other hand, I have been told by one range official at an IPSC match that I should shoot Standard with my USP 9 because it has a match trigger installed, and he had never seen a USP with a STAINLESS slide and a match trigger.

Yet this guy had a Glock holstered with all of the above modifications.
My point is this: my feeling is that Glock's are given way too much room to move in terms of allowable modifications. The sights in question are made for Glock's. I have yet to see them on other pistols, but you can rest assured that on a CZ or HK they would raise some eyebrows. My opinion is that the Bo-Mar's in question have taken the concessions given to Glocks one step too far.
Please note, however, that I have nothing against Glocks. I own a few, and appreciate them as great guns. What irks me is the seeming double standard of the IPSC Executive who allow a myriad of changes to Glock's because some obscure PD ordered a couple like that, whereas for other guns you need to fight so hard to get a modification approved.
Of course, this is all my opinion, but I thought a poll would give us a good chance to see what everyone else thinks.
