Boar Hunting, UP CLOSE & PERSONAL... Video

AWESOME....thats why they call it "dangerous game"!!! still would have been cooler with a handgun though...............

Had this been shown in real time, I doubt they would have time to even notice the gun pointed at them.

No kidding. In real time, this whole incident probably took about 1 - 1.5 seconds, from being pushed out of the bush by a big frickin boar to on his back to shooting the boar. Yes, I know, you should always know where you barrel is point, I get it. It might not be that easy and obvious when getting pushed to the ground by the big frickin boar

That's one nasty hog. I've heard there are some escapees running wild south of Melfort.

ya i know that this probably only took that 1 sec, but have you ever have that sensation where time slows down when something's happening :runaway:

There is another CGN thread that links to another forum, www.thehighroad dot com (I think) with a 14 or 15 page thread from a fellow in Texas. They have thousands of feral hogs running absolutely out of control in his area. He traps and shoots about a hundred per year, and they bastages keep coming. He does not wish any wild hogs on any landowner, no matter how interesting they may seem. If a fellow wanted to go shoot wild hogs, it seems like a guy only needs to drive to the rural South and let the word out that he is available as a shooter.

(( Typo on the original URL suggested above. It is /thehighroad/, not /hehighroad ))

Geez, at least he had the presense of mind to not fire until the bore was past the other shooters etc.

I think I'd like to go down south for a bit - could be fun, live in an RV, get a green card, do some farm work and eat lots of wild piggy!
