Gotta love some guys that say you have to have the motor tilted all the way up out the water and/or have to have an anchor down haha

The amount of people that have no clue on many of the rules is crazy.

Cannot shoot migratory birds from a boat under motor power, engine must be turned off and forward momentum stopped.

There are exceptions. From the Migratory Birds Regulations, C.R.C., c. 1035

15 (1) Subject to subsections (4) and (5) and section 23.1, no person shall hunt a migratory bird
...
(e) from any aircraft, sailboat, power boat, or motorized vehicle, or any vehicle to which a draught animal is attached.

(1.1) Notwithstanding subsection 2(3) and paragraph (1)(e), a person referred to in subsection 5(2) may hunt murres from a power boat.
