Bobcat in my tree

Reminds me of when I came home from Vegas to find this just outside our driveway. Should always keep a camera handy. :)

Now them guys are cute and real easy to tame..........not so easy to train though and they do tend to stink, especially the full grown males. I like the mustelidae family of critters, have had several ferrets.

Saw one for the first time last summer, but it was way up north, so perhaps it was a lynx. I was driving with a car behind me, so I couldn't safely stop at the time and take a better look, but it was small and brown, so I thought it was a bobcat rather than a lynx?

I wish I had a chance to snap a photo.
 
Great picture. You should get it enlarged and then frame it. I had a cougar walk by the front of my house, 30' from my livingroom window. I have seen Lynx and Bobcat. Beautiful animals.
 
There is talk of bobcats this far north in BC. I have not seen one but why not? This is lynx country.
 
We have a bobcat that frequesnts our property and my wife has some great pics - but your couple pics are amazing.
 
Cool Pics. Thanks for posting them. I've seen one Lynx in the bush behind the farm I grew up at. Mind you this was southern ON. Have never seen another in the following 25 years
 
Thanks guys - I have the camera ready by the back door in case I see them again!

I called SIX coyotes this morning at once with a 'lightning jack' call from my foxpro just for fun.. they charged in and almost came onto my deck before they saw me sitting there. I've never seen a pack of them this large around. 1-2 constantly, but they seem to be packing up. I hope the kitties are careful and don't get caught in the open.
 
the apartment block east of us had a bobcat family for a while 1 mom and 3kittens, which was amazing considering the number of dogs around- the kittens would come right up to the screen doors and look in- they moved on after a couple of months- the main trouble is the little kids would grab one of the kittens and try to "civilise" the kitten- ie mommy , look at the kitten I found- can I keep him?
