Boberg Arms XR9-L Preorder Extravaganza

A little fake joy for all that are waiting with me! Should be this week.

And when they're here, we'll do a comparison of CFO from different provinces. My bet is I'll have the slowest one...
 
I just happened to be in the store today and what did I see out of the corner fo my eye? That little bugger. It feels very nice. I like it a lot. I have two other higher priority guns but some day, I will buy one of these. I hope someone shows up at Poco with one and is willing to trade off for shots with one of my guns. This sucker is hot!
 
Beautiful looking guns!

I've been wanting a compact for a long time now, always going back to the HK P7s (dream one would be a P7M10, but yeah, keep dreaming bud!) and minus the squeeze-hand cocker and amazing quality of the HKs, these could be a viable option :)
 
I had an HK P7, great gun, could not get over the plastic trigger and squeeze cocker. Also it was not as accurate as my CZ SP-01(custom SAO). Although I would not have sold it if it was a nickle version. Looking forward to getting my grubby hands on my platinum Boberg. Soon I hope. SOON!
 
They are nice guns, and fairly accurate. Would be great for CCW if it were legal here. That said, the one that I fired seemed to have at least one cycling issue each magazine.
 
Wanstalls, do you know if the order is even shipped? I read on the Boberg forum that they are out of many parts (barrels, unlock block) and that orders are delayed.
 
I'm not disappointed by the DA only. If you want to make it SA, you need to add a safety and they would need to carry it with the hammer cocked.
Your other choice is to also add a decocker. You would then have two buttons protruding from the side. It may be feasible, but I like the boberg look with nothing protruding from the side making it smooth and thin.

The only way I see is to make a single action that you manually decock without safety. I don't think it would pass as a safe gun.

As a defensive pistol, a 7 pound trigger with a smooth double action looks like a good choice for simplicity sake.
 
Hey Guys, I just checked my calendar and I'll be damn'd if July didn't wizz right by. Can't believe how time flys.
Seriously, any update on when these guns might be showing up? I'm sure I can wait a few more days........
 
UPDATE: We just got State dept approval on Monday (5 weeks longer than expected) but Boberg has sent a shipping e-mail, letting us know it will be leaving ASAP!! Ill post again as soon as i get a firm ETA.
