Boberg Arms XR9-L - smallest pistol coming to Canada

I've read some reviews on these pistols and they are very unique. A couple points from the review were that the pistol is very ammo sensitive, it requires breaking in to become reliable and the bullets need to be crimped because they can be pulled out by the rearward pull of the slide/loading mechanism.

Interesting. I have read similar articles mentioning this. I love the look but not the price point and some of the reviews. I won't be the first to buy one, but if they turn out reliable it may be a future purchase.

Actually, the US MSRP on this XR9-L Two-Tone pistol is $1049. I don't know what the Canadian price will be since there will be export duties and other layers added. This gun is 1.6" shorter than a G26 with the long barrel sticking out. I know I can't post URLs, so here is a video of "themousegunaddict" hitting steel with this gun out to 25 yards.
We did have some issues with our early guns, but have upgraded any repair guns to current spec. These guns have been on the market for over a year now and are quite robust. Our Canadian distributor will be fully trained on any warranty work or repairs.

I like the concept but will wait for a while. Learned my lesson the hard way with the Sig Mosquito when it first came out.

If this gets tuned up to good reliability it would be a dream gun for Canadian shooters.

Would love one, but the price is a deal breaker for me. Why is it so expensive?

Inventor creates his own company to manufacture a revolutionary design, then stands behind his product so well as to rebuild troublesome early guns to the current specs and you wonder "Why is it so expensive?"

I wonder how he can sell it so cheaply?

Anyone know when these are coming up? If the distributor is being trained to maintain these and the inventor commits to fixing any bugs then it's worth a try.

I had never hear of this new pistol before. I am very impressed with the specs. if it is true a 9mm has the recoil of a 22LR than this little gun will change the rules. And it looks so small as well. I can see this gun being a big seller and many companies scrambling to make a copy of it. Now where is Allan Rock to save us!

Buddy moves his hands faster than he talks, which is pretty fast, that and flipping the gun over every 10 seconds. Just about drove me batty! I stuck with the video as I wanted the info but he could put his mitts in his pockets and the video would be more enjoyable. He says the kick is about the same as other guns. To me the lower kick is the biggest selling feature, have to wait to test out a longer bbl. gun I guess.

I do agree he isn't the best presenter ... but he does have some cool stuff on his channel. He has a Dardik, gyrojet, some crazy European ~1900s stuff, and some different revolvers. You have to watch something when you've been through all of Hickok! He is also one of the only guys I've seen do a proper review on a Sig p210 on youtube.
