Boberg is pondering production of an XR9-SCanadian

I would rather have the slide cover the entire barrel though. I realize this would increasse cost vs. using the standard slide. It would be worth it to me though.

that's true, but i'm not particularly interested in really compact pistols so excuse me if i don't spend my money encouraging more manufacturers and dealers to get guns i'm not particularly interested in into the canadian market. I hope there are enough of you to get what you want.

x2.

Boberg wants to make'em; Kodiak wants to sell'em; we want to buy'em. Only question now is price.

I want the long version but will consider the shorty as well. (My finances are up in the air at the moment -- know for sure in a few months.)

Hahahaha! I think this is a thread about who IS interested, not who isn't!:D

At the rate this "bandwagon" is moving, anyone can jump on it.

I wonder what the ratio is, of ideas like this that plenty of people like and would buy, to how many of them actually are realised. :(

I cannot think of a better way to stick it to anti's than to buy this gun QUOTE]

How about putting some of those funds towards the CSSA, or NFA, writing - or talking directly to - federal, provincial, politicians, and supporting your local gun club. Thats probably a better way to spend your $ to "stick it to the anti's." Besides, when are they going to see it ? When you're at the range surrounded by other gun enthusiasts ? I dont get it !

If you want to spend you hard earned dollars on a gun thats got a funky barrell, and that will probably - potentially - only be sold in Canada, then go for it. After all, its a - partially - free country.

Thanks for the speech, bro. I'm already a member of the CSSA.

The world is littered with gun designs that were interesting and even good ideas, that never got off the ground. How many times did Samuel Colt fail before his revolver got traction? I would happily buy a Boberg, but I doubt I'll ever get the opportunity. The Mateba auto revolver got a bit beyond, but not much. I remember contacting a man in the late '70s who sent me photos of his new .22 autoloader. Included was a note saying all his money was sunk into this project. I don't know where he and his pistol are now, but they're not here. The Jericho started out as a multi-caliber design from England, and only made it when the original reason for the design was scrapped. It's just the way things go when you're in the inventing business.
