I always like to learn from the mistakes of others, especially stories of why companies fail and what caused it. But this "Rhineland Arms" reference is confusing. I only found one rifle/carbine stock conversion company and one .22 rifle manufacturer with this name. It is not clear whether they are the same company, but they both seem to be up and running and the .22 rifle company has gotten some good reviews. A little more background material on "Rhineland Arms" and why they were mentioned would be very helpful.

The Rhineland Arms thing is a reference to a fiasco gun experience a lot of guys here had...people were drooling for the longest time over the R22 and when they finally arrived, they had a ton of issues. Then guys weren't able to get warranty work done promptly if I recall correctly...parts availability was a huge nightmare, and lots of little problems wrong from the factory. That's how I remember it anyway.

The Boberg is an interesting design, hope it runs well. If so I'll probably be after one for the girlfriend. Very handsome pistol for sure.
 
I'm not a fan of the 9mm, but it's better than throwing rocks at the bad guy. I'm definitely in for one if it doesn't run more than $1k.
Looking at their site wasn't very encouraging though, I can't even find pricing for the full-size (if you can actually call that compact masterpiece "full-size" :p)
 
I would drop a grand or so on one for sure.

I think they made a big business mistake though. They should have found a large manufacturer without a good ccw pistol and licensed the design to them.

This Boberg company would be better suited as a design and prototype house and could live on the royalties. They seem to really suck at the whole mass production thing.
