Quick question for those that have one/have shot one. Does the ejector on your Boito Hiker spit the shell right out or just lift it up for you? I recently bought one and it doesn't eject the shell so to speak, but rather just pushes it out a bit. This is contrary to most single shot actions I've used. Is this in line with how yours works? I was expecting that it would kick it right out of the gun.

The owners manual makes mention of an ejector. Terminology aside, should it be kicking the shell out or should I be having to pull it out?

The gun actually has an extractor from what you described in your first post so NO it shouldn't throw the shells out. I'm also with beretta boy on saying it has an Extractor not an Ejector haven't held one but I've read threads and descriptions of them and they always mentioned an Extractor.

Enjoy the gun with the extractor and if you practice enough you will get good at cycling shots.

Cheers
CK.

Owner's Manual likely an (incorrect) translation from Portugese... (made in Brazil)

An extractor merely lifts the cartridge just clear of the rim so you can pick it out.

Fair enough. I'm not at all unhappy with how it work, but just wanted to be sure before it was too late to take it back to get a proper one. Thanks for the help!

Mine is the same, shell must be pulled out manually...no big deal.

On another note, how does yours shoot? I had a tricky time getting used to aiming such a short shotgun when I bring it up to my shoulder.
