What is the consensus on Boito O/U's in 12ga? I know nothing about the brand, but have come across a few good looking ones over the years at shows. I always wondered.. are they decent guns? Or are they the Walmart quality imports ?

Boito hasn't had the worlds greatest reputation, as a field gun they would be okay, don't press one into clays duty however as it will be short lived. They do make a clays gun, the Stoeger Competition, haven't heard a long term test on one to comment on durability.

Like storm said, they're not going to be your long term clay gun, and in terms of reviews they're basically the same as a stoeger condor. If it's a gun you'll drag through the woods, shoot a few birds, maybe a couple of clays here and there, it would be fine for that.

My biggest complaint about the stoeger/boito o/u's I have used it that they seems to be on the heavy/clunky side. For something I am carrying more than shooting I went with one of the similarly priced Turkish o/u's, they're pretty close in quality, but seem to be much lighter (I also hunt maily with 20ga, so I don't worry much about the recoil with a lighter gun).
