I just sold my old bolt action 20ga and I am considering replacing it with a side by side. I saw a Boito in 20ga that fits the budget, but don't know much about them. Are they well built or should I just keep looking?

atr said:I have a Boito , SxS coachgun in 12 guage . I'm on the third buttstock . The gun does get hammered hard and heavy with thousands of rounds through it and a lot of those being 3 inch mags . The crack starts right behind the tang and then the stock splits . The first stock was replaced under warranty but i've paid for the second two . I wish i could find a synthetic stock for it . I like the gun as it's short and easy to swing in a tent so it's my camping gun and the other thing i like is that both barrels fire Brenneke 3 inch mag slugs to the same place at 50 yards . I'd guess , on average , the stock splits about every 3,000 rounds but you can see the crack develope before that . Anybody know where i can get a synthetic stock for it ?
