Had my Gunsmith install a new Bold Trigger on my Husky 6.5 X 55 Swede Sporter. I wanted to get a Timney, but he didn't have any in stock and I did not want to wait for a delivery from Brownells, so a Bold it is. I have to say that it was a great upgrade from the two stage 8 lbs. pull military style trigger. My groups improved and am quite happy. Here are some pics:
Group before new trigger install, all shots at 100 yds.:
Groups with new trigger;
3" Shoot-N-See targets:
3 shot Group:
Adjusted Scope Left a little to far;
4 shot Group:
Single shot at a gopher, I think it should work for deer this fall:
I am felling better about the rifle now with the new trigger, and hope I can put a deer down with it. This is my first year rifle hunting for deer so hopefully I can connect with it. I am going to use 156 grain Norma factory loads, as this seems to be what I get the best results from. We are hunting deer in Black Bear country as well, and I bought a Bear Tag, so the 156 grainers should give good peformance on either game.
