I walked in to the SFRC today with plans on picking up a bolt-action .22 and walked out with the ###y beast below. As soon as I held it a sense of joy just rolled through me, It was like when He-Man wields his sword and says "I have the power!!" lol :D. I was thinking of looking in to taking a course on tactical uses just for fun. May think about going hunting with my Dad too, as long as he does the skinning... :p If anyone else has some suggestions for uses they would be appreciated.
Hopefully get some vid of me shooting it soon.

Lovely. Title of the thread had me thinking you turned a .22 bolt action into a black shotgun somehow LOL.

That looks great, I have the same one in black.
 
Good choice. 22 is cheap but for 20 more cents a shot 12 gauge is a lot more fun
 
nice shotgun bud. you made the right choice. of my 2 rifles and shotgun the shotty is by far the most fun to use. thats probably just because i havent got my att yet but the 4 of us had a blast with my shotgun last time out.
 
Thanks for the comments! I know I made the right choice, I went out to the farm today and my Dad and I dominated an old rusty barrel with it. Well that's partially true... I peppered it with my lil 2 3/4 8 shots (I'm still getting used to the concussive force) and my Dad threw some 3 inch slugs in and put some nice holes in it. He taught me how to load while keeping my eye and firearm on the target so you can re-engage at any moment! Still need lots of practice! Pics + video soon.
 
Welcome to shotguns! That thing is magnificent. If your interested in learning about using shotguns in a tactical/sport/etc sense, I recommend picking up a copy of Magpul Art of the Dynamic Shotgun. There seems to be some debate over what they teach, but it's my own gospel and I swear by it.
 
Thx for the recommendation! I just watched the trailer for "Magpul Art of the Dynamic Shotgun" DVD set, and it looks intense!

New carrying case and cleaned for first time

Went to the local CT this afternoon and picked up this carrying case, a 5 shell stretchy holder for the stock (which I don't really like but it was only $9.), and a 12 gauge bore snake.
I ran the snake through a couple of times (with Hoppes of course.). Hopefully get out to the farm this weekend and shoot my precious some more. :D
