Bolt action 357 mag ?

Other than buying a Ruger in 357 mag , what would be a good receiver to build on ?

Many pistol cartridge based rifles have been built using a Lee Enfield #1 Mk 111 or No 4 Mk 1 action.

If you’re not married to the 357 case it might be easier to do a wildcat 357 rimless. Just blown out 223 trimmed to length and all the bolt face and feeding issues with the rimmed case go away.

If you want a repeater, a magazine system might be the first issue to address.
Lee Enfields are very easy to convert. Magazine?
There are the mini actioned rifles - Zastava, Howa, etc. Those actions would be good from a size standpoint, could b problematic from the bolt face/extractor/magazine standpoint.

350 Legend sounds like a good compromise. Lots of people have been reloading the casings and using .357 bullets with great success.
