Bolt Action .450 Marlin

Why doesn't somebody chamber this round in a bolt action rifle? I think the Remington 673 or some short battue styled rifle would be awesome in this calibre.

One of my long term projects is a short actionned Ruger 77 in .458x2". Similar idea.
Don't know why the .450 Marlin wouldn't work out very well for a carbine like the one you propose.

I see where you are going with this.....Basically a Ruger Frontier with a 18" barrel and the 'scout' type of EFR scope mount....I like it. Nothing says stop right there like a 405gr hard cast at 2100fps......

Or I could by this and get some surgery on my forehead (no not to remove the dink, to close the wound this would open up with the front sight). Now if they where to put a buntline barrel and shoulder stock on this thing they may just be onto something.
