Bolt action rapid fire at 300 meters

My 1894 Springfield is one of my favorite guns, it's just so smooth. The machined parts that cantilever in when you open the magazine still make me go "Cool..." everytime I open it.
The sights on the US models are all little machined peaces of art, most of my other Milsurp rifles cannot compare. The Rosses are about the only ones; closest Mauser is my 1891 Argentine.

Tokguy, you and I are going to get together this summer for some 1 on 1 rifle competition, with my (new to me) M1896 Swedish Mauser. Last February in Phoenix during a couple of Pre 1912 Rifle matches I came 3rd and 4th place with my other M1896 Mauser to a couple of Krags and I want to practice before I go back this coming February!

Were the Krag's American or Norwegian? Because going up against 6.5 x 55 Swede with a 30-40 krag seems like a recipe for an *ss whooping. I've a Swede 96 and they are pretty hard to beat.
Krag's are smoother but to be good requires a serious amount of shooting, especially against a Swede.

Well I came 3rd & 4th place but those 30-40 Krag guys must have had more trigger time with their particular rifle than I did!
