Bolt action rifles , resizing neck and case HELP

The Enfield ain't great to reload for; it locks-up at the back of the bolt, so the action stretches everytime it fires. Should be less of a problem with a low-use Enfield; could be a big problem with an Enfield that's fired a lot of rounds. I've read about guys who got many uses from their brass, but consensus seems to be that they may start separating (like the picture) after as few as 5 or 6 reloads.

You might want to display your Enfields, and pick-up a .303 that locks-up at the bolt head. Like a Ross - or a P14.

my enfields will not be on display until im to old to fire them , il pay the extra money to feed them , it is worth it to me.

I had two Remington 788 that had rear locking lugs and alway find the brass stretching comments amusing. The biggest problem is you are not shooting military grade brass like the 7.62x51 cases that are thicker in the base. And using Prvi Partizan brass and properly fire forming the case will do wonders. Do not forget the No.4 Enfield rifes were chambered in the higher pressure .308/7.62 cartridge and did just fine because the No.4 rifles were made of better and harder steels.

Yeah the steel got steadily better as the years advanced. I read a series of letters from a Ross fan who wrote in the '30s or '40s; Ross barrels were made of Chrome-moly, that he said (at the time) was only otherwise used for truck springs; he talked about a Ross barrelled action that was vise-mounted and kept all shots in a 7" circle at 1,000 yards. LOVE to have more Rosses!

Love to have a couple Enfields too. Maybe instead of mouthing-off my extensive book-lore, I should buy an Enfield or two and actually shoot 'em some; whadda ya say? ;) So many guns, so little time ('n money) :( I looked for some .312" bullets to feed my Rosses, last time I was in Ont; no joy.
