Bolt action vs Semi Auto

I believe we are talking about a Benelli R1.Have you used one was my question.

Given that the title of the post was "Bolt action vs Semi Auto" I did as many other posters did, and posted about my experiences with various semi autos. In fact the majority of the posts on this thread never mentioned the Benelli R1. In fact the post that started this thread referred to a "bernelli " semi auto rifle.

I hunt deer with both a semi auto and bolt action.
My semi is a CZ 52/57 in 7.62x39.
The bolt action is a Savage model 111 in .270 winchester cal.
My CZ has been 100% reliable in any and all weather conditions.
I have shot quite a few deer with it with no problems.
My Savage's accutrigger has cost me 2 deer by refusing to let the rifle fire under field conditions.
That's why I find it funny when people point out the superior reliability of the bolt action.
Like someone already pointed out, a bolt action is great for sitting on a watch, the semi really shines while punching or stalking.
