Bolt catch help

I'm looking for some help finding an extended bolt catch.

What I mean by extended, is the tab that sticks out to grab the magazine follower.

My Dad's AR has a modiuk lower and a DPMS LPK, and we have found that the spacing between the bolt catch slot and the magazine well is about 1mm longer than on my spike's lower, which works fine with the same LPK.

The problem is that the bolt catch only manages to grab about 0.25mm or less on the follower, which can then fall off the follower if you rock the magazine a bit.

I measured the tab on the DPMS catch and it is 2.5mm long, also measured a norinco one and it is 3.5mm long.

Does anyone know where I can get one closer in size to the Norinco one?

Brownells. I think they may have 2 versions of the colt bolt catch.

Checked Brownell's.

Gonna try welding onto the tip, and if that breaks, cutting down a 9mm bolt catch.

It looks like his particular lower had the bolt catch channel machined too close to the trigger area, and, therefore, too far from the magazine well.
