I'm looking at putting a sight on my SKS, and i came across a video on youtube of an AR15 with a eotech holographic sight on it. Simply put, i think it's amazing. I was wondering if there was any sight similar, but less money. Because i refuse to spend more money on a sight, then i did the whole rifle. I was wondering if these mounts work well,

They don't lose their zero after you fire the first shot do they? Also, what sight would you recommend, i like the red dot sights, but is it worth it just to go ahead and get a scope?

Thanks for reading.

Those mounts are crap...

You need a Choate Mount you can get it from SKSman.com

Look for this model and red lock tight the reciever set screw's & nut's;

Or better yet as a red dot dosn't need any eye relief;

I would like one of those sights, but i really don't want to drill into my stock, it's the original, and it's in fairly good condition. Is that the only way to actually have a reliable sight on it?

This mount in this picture does not require any drilling or tapping done to the rifle just some red lock tight and a bussiness card.

Please use the search function as I discribe how to properly do this to achive repeatability when using this mount.

If your going to go that route I recommend the mount with the set screw.I just put this cover on mine and for the price I'm quite happy with it,,,,check out ebay,,PM and I'll give you the sellers name or just do a search and it will come up right away,,and the seller is in Canada to make things a bit cheaper.
