Anybody got a bolt rifle in 7.62x39mm? Interested in what you are making up for reloads...

Just picked up this little gem...

As the crocodile hunter would say, "CRIKEY WHAT A BEAUT!!!"

Damn fine lookin' rifle, I had no idea that Ruger chambered the M77 in 7.62x39mm. Can't help you with load info though :p

Early mini30s had .308 bores, but they have been 310/311 since the early 90's. I'm not sure about the M77, you could check the Ruger website in the serial number section.

Hi Jeff - From what I understand these were a limited run by Ruger about 10 years ago. Hence, the old style Ruger factory skelton type synthetic stock with wood inserts.

Looking around for a factory walnut or laminate Ruger short action take-off stock for it right now... ;)

If you don't mind .... What is the exact model of that rifle? Is it just a M77 short action chambered for the 7.62x39 or is there more distinuishing numbers?

I've always liked the look of those stocks (strange I know) but I've only seen them in long action. I'd like to get my hands on one if I could ever track one down.
