Hey gents, I was just wondering if anybody has had their bolt release fall off?? I was just finishing my range day on Saturday and as I was Packin up I realized that the bolt release paddle was really loose. As soon as I touched it again the pin fell out and so did the handle and the little peice ( don't know the proper term) that presses into the back of the paddle. I found it but no pin. Im just wondering how common/uncommon this is. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

It's not a common problem. Either the roll pin is too small or more likely the hole it goes into is too loose.
I'm not going to ask what brand the gun is. lol

VERY UNCOMMON. Just so we are on the same page, you are referring to an AR-15? Can you provie the manufacturer and some pics? The roll pin (assuming its an AR) should be a 1 time use tight fit.

It's an NEA 10.5cqb. Could it be because im useing a B.A.D lever??They've already mailed me a new pin. I'm not making a big deal about it. I was just wondering if anyone's encountered this problem before. That aside the gun shoots awesome. Very accurate and no FTF or FTE with over 1000 rounds of rapid fire.

Some NEA lowers have oversize bolt catch pin holes "I would double check yours"

BAD lever shouldn't cause that, though sometimes it does cause your bolt to stay closed after the last round, got annoying to me IMO so I took mine off

Ya, the hole is oversized. It should be virtually impossible for the roll pin to fall out if the hole is to spec.
The easiest way for you to prevent the new pin from falling out (unless of course they send you an oversized roll pin which is highly unlikely) is to peen the end of it over once you have it installed. The only downside to that is that if you ever want to remove it in the future it will be much more difficult.
