Bolt shroud for 96 mauser

I am looking for a shroud with a model 70 style safety. Does anyone onow where to buy one in Canada? Thanks

They are like unobtainium. Tradeex had some for the 98 Mausers, I believe only 2 stage though. Have never seen one for a 96 Mauser. A new trigger with side safety would be another option if you are looking to change the safety for scope clearance.

They exist but not in canada and are incredibly expensive. The other option is brownells sells the Wisner kit which would turn your existing bolt shroud into a m70 style 2 stage safety. It requires gunsmith install.

Would that modern style of shroud also mitigate the gas-handling issues the 96s have in comparison to the '98? If so that's a pretty sweet gig.
