Hey gents;
I am looking for some answers and advice about a bolt sticking in a Remington 700 ADL action. The rifle in question was my father's, its a 1960s manufacture and I inherited it when he passed away a number of years ago.
I now only use it for punching paper at the range and I clean it thoroughly after each range trip. However I have now noticed that the bolt will stick approx. 1 inch from the chamber. **The bolt sticks in the location depicted in the photos** It's not enough to completely stop the bolt from functioning but it is noticeable. I know the rifle was not like that when my dad was alive as I spent many hours as a youth cleaning that rifle.
So, I'm wondering what would cause that and could it be fixed?
