bolt vs. break ???

Is there any advantage to the bolt action over the break action other then the ease of cleaning the break action and primer loading ??

Longer barrel length with an actual shorter overall length(no action).Encore (Break)or Omega (falling breach type)designs in my opinion are far superior.No blow back eating the anodized aluminum on the bottom of your scope either.JMO

Agreed, I think that advantages of a break/falling breach FAR exceed those of a bolt.

Also, if you are considering a Knight DISC bolt action, what happens if you are out in the bush without any DISC's? Chances are, you're out of luck, and even if you make it back to a town that's close by, odds are the local mom and pop hunting shop wont even know what you are talking about.

A bolt in a Muzzleloader is useless? What does it extract? What does it feed? There are no cases in a muzzleloader so no bolt is needed.
When you loose the bolt you can have a short gun w/ a 28'' barrel, the gun will be lighter, as well as easier to clean and prime.
I think the Bolt action ML's are on there way out and these new break action or breach style will be the next standard.

Break open for sure. With an ez-tip extractor on my TC Encore, cleaning is a cinch. I have never had a problem with escaping gasses like on a #11 primer capped ML.

Not having experience with bolt action in-lines,I have to say that I favour the b/a type m.l.
I find it easier to clean(especially at the range) and overall length is reduced.

Honestly you can't go wrong,recently I achieved less than 1" groups(all holes touching) @ 100yds using two 777 pellets,Hornady 240gr XTP,Win.primers and the aid of my Harris bi-pod
I also welded the breech plug wrench to a 3/8 drive 1/2" socket for easier installment & removal.

To mod. the breechplug???? Suppose any competant gunsmith could fill in the area required and then size an appropiate hole for the 209 primer...for a $179.99 m.l.?
Your call.IMO I think the breech plug/holder is a great idea and works well.It works,why fix it?

Breech or falling block is more ambidextrous (for left handed folks such as I) - This is one of the reasons why I have a break action muzzleloader (NEF Sidekick)
