Yes, it is very long.
It was in a bag of assorted salvaged parts.
There is a threaded hole just in front of the knurled knob; perhaps a bolt handle screwed in there.

It is long and has a small diameter. I'm even wondering if it might be from a subcaliber conversion unit. No logical reason for a .22 bolt to be that long.

The unit is about 7 3/4" long and 1/2" in diameter.

Looks alot like the bolt on one of my Hamilton 22s.
It's missing a couple parts though.

Googled the Hamilton .22s, thought it might be from a Model 15, but it is different.

My best guess is a model 23 Hamilton.
It's missing the little bolt knob and a spring.
