The Postman dropped off an eagerly awaited package today. My Snake Slayer had finally arrived. Upon inspection I found that there appears to be a possible flaw in the extractor on the upper side of the lower barrel. :( Can anyone let me know if this is supposed to look like this, before I make calls to the supplier...

Just checked mine and I have the same mark on the extractor, but for the upper barrel.
I do see these types of marks on parts at work (aviation industry). I believe they're inspection points where they check the hardness of the part. I've got about 200 rounds through mine with nary a hitch so I can't see it really being an issue. Raise your concern with Bond Arms, show them the pic and see what they say. My bet is that it's nothing, but you never know.
Keep us informed.

Many of them have that mark. As previously mentioned it is very likely a product of the manufacturing or quality assurance program at Bond Arms. :)

I also see what appears to be machining marks on the back of your barrels. You should talk to them about that too. :D

UPDATE

OK, after talking with the guys at Bond Arms, and showing them the pics, they replied that they would gladly change out the extractor if I requested it, but they figured that the marking was only cosmetic, and wouldn't effect the performance or the safety of the gun. I think I'll hang on to it and shoot it for awhile before I make any decisions about getting it replaced. Their warranty is life time, and they seem like good guys to deal with.
