Is that a trigger lock in the bottom right of the box? Just curious as I never saw one of those when I bought mine, not that it matters...

Can you guys get the .22 barrels in for the SS iv, or are they a prohibited length?

Too short to import to Canada. We've been asking Bond Arms to make us calibre conversion barrels in 4.25" length but they have been so busy the past year and a half that they simply don't have time to do a small quantity run for us. Hopefully sometime in the future they will offer them.

Mark

Will you import this gun again?

Getting them has been the problem... for the past year the manufacturer cannot keep up with US demand so they are constantly backordered. We have orders placed with them dating back to last year that still have not been filled so when Bond Arms makes and ships the guns we'll have more for sale but there's no telling when that will be... could be in weeks or could take months... we simply don't know.

BondArms doesn't seem to care to much about the Canadian market I guess...

It's easy to understand why but if a dealer is patient and places and order I think the least a company can do is fill it.

It would be nice to place a Canada specific order with a few more barrel options as a package because at this point the hope of BondArms sending up some longer barrels in calibers other then .45Colt seems lost.

On the other hand a company like NAA does a custom run of guns for Canada and it only takes them a few months from being asked to delivery!

Bond Arms sell more guns than they can make... it's as simple as that... they can't fill their current backlog of orders. It's not a matter of where the orders come from. As for longer barrel we spoke to them about this 2 years ago... they were interested in doing it but then the market went nuts and they were consumed with their backorder problem... obviously no time to design and build a custom 106mm Canadian Barrel when they already can't fill the orders for standard products that they already have and make. One day when they have time they may well go back to our request but if I was them I'd also be ignoring the custom Canadian barrel request and spend all my time filling the US orders they already have in hand. There isn't a company that would be any different.

Selling more guns then you can make seems foolish to me unless you like disappointing customers.

I can understand putting the custom barrels on the backburner, and having more orders then you can fill( I think that's what you were trying to say) is not a bad thing for sure, but if they know their production rate and the number of backorders it doesn't seem like a big leap to forecast their ability to clear the backorders?

The fact that your order may arrive tomorrow or next month or next year and you have no idea seems a little flaky to me.

Can-down : I think you need a 101 economy course. Where the heck were you since the US shortage of EVERYTHING started ??? You must be an alien..

Must be....it's been a while since I took 101 economics.

I don't remember the part about communicating with your customers that placed orders a year ago....anyways I don't want to get this thread off topic as i think they are building a neat little gun!

I also didn't realize the yanks were hording derringers.

THe yanks have been hoarding everything.. There are stores with bare shelves as everything has been bought and they can't get more....

Powder, primers, projectiles, cases, reloading equipment, loaded ammo, rifles, handguns, safes pretty much anything gun related is hard to come by....

Hi Mark

Any chance you can bring us up a couple more snake slayers, I missed out!!

Thx

We've had Snake Slayer IV's on backorder since last year (2008)... they trickle in 1 here and 1 or 2 there... often sold before they even get here.

I believe that our US office has one now that is expected to arrive here in Canada later this month... it's available on our website for order right now... first come first serve.
