I would like to build a Bonnie and Clyde type semi auto shotgun. Short berrel and cut butt stock. I want to do it 21st century style. Modern version, of old classic.

I would like this thread to bring ideas on how to do it and what shotgun to use.

Omg. I know. Does anyone read the entire post anymore? I want to build a modern version of it based on a newer and better action.

You know browning still makes the auto 5 and its updated. You could of done some cool mods to it, but what ever

Sorry I even tried to help you :jerkit:

Ithaca did a very short run of the short barrel pistol grip only variants of the M37 Stakeout shotgun, one chromed and in 12 gauge, it's twin a subdued blue in 20 gauge. The fore-end and handgrip were in a fancy woodgrain. They were offered in a velvet lined box using the same monicker of Bonnie and Clyde.

I suppose today Bonnie and Clyde would choose a Benelli recoil operated shotgun rather than the Browning recoil operated shotgun. Rather than the old Cutts Compensator they would probably opt for screw in choke tubes. Of course being criminals B&C wouldn't care much if their 21st Century shotgun made legal length or not.

I think what you want is already made. Bonnie & Clyde would definitely have been sporting one of these if they could.

Problem with benelli is the recoilspring in the but stock, unless the recoil operated m 2 series does not have a recoil spring in the but sttock, that might work. M4 benelli wont work
