A shorter barrel will not be more or less accurate. It will just shoot a slower bullet.
As the barrel extends, if it is not made thicker it will start to experience flex, or armonics. That is, the barrel will flex around like a whip when the shot goes off. So yeah, if you just extend the barrel length without making it thicker, it will eventually not be rigid enough to shoot accurately.

So if you want to keep your gun light, a short thin barrel will do tge job of shooting a slower bullet.
If weight is not a concern but accuracy is, a long thick barrel will shoot a bullet faster and accurately.
